REFLEX MARINE SL, a leader in safe and efficient offshore access solutions, has recently completed an in-depth analysis and feasibility study focused on the application of robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies for the development of a cutting-edge carrier designed to carry people and goods. Through this study, REFLEX MARINE SL has identified several key challenges that could be effectively addressed by leveraging robotics and advanced manufacturing. These technologies present new opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and durability in capsule design, while also offering potential solutions to optimize manufacturing and reduce operational costs. The study involved a comprehensive evaluation of the cost-benefit and technical feasibility of various initiatives that integrate robotics and advanced manufacturing processes into crew and cargo transfer capsule design. After careful consideration, the most impactful initiatives were conceptualized, assessed, and prioritized based on their potential for operational and technical advantages. REFLEX MARINE SL has now developed a detailed Work Plan and technical proposal that outlines the pathway for future implementation of these high-potential initiatives. This plan will guide the next steps in transforming capsule design with cutting-edge technologies to better meet the demands of modern, safe crew and cargo transfers.
