Four members of Reflex Marine smashed their fundraising target after taking place in the One-Mile Padstow to Rock Sea Swim.
The team of four staff including Marketing Coordinators Katy Austin and Amy Teubert, After Sales Manager James Cryan and Client Support Manager Kate Cozens had made an initial target of £500, but in fact raised £1157 by the day of the swim and a final total of £2000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Despite challenging sea conditions during the event on Sunday, July 21, James Cryan completed the elite swim in under half and hour, whilst other team members completed it within 40 and 45 minutes.
Katy, who put together the team, said: “It was a pleasure to take part in such a great local event for a fantastic cause which is close to many of our hearts.
“It’s been a brilliant experience for all the members of the team, who have been training together for many months.
“It’s definitely brought us closer as a team and we have been really touched by all the support we have received from our colleagues, friends and family.”
The Padstow to Rock swim has raised more than £150,000 for charity since 2007.
