In December 2016, the Directorate of Ports and Coasts (DPC), also known as the Brazilian Navy, issued an amendment to the regulations NORMAM05/DPC, for the homologation of offshore equipment.
Annex 4-A (p. 238) of the Norma da Autoridade Marítima para Homologação de Material, NORMAM05/DPC, contains details of the new requirements, you can read it here in Portuguese.
The “Regulations for Personnel Transfer Baskets”/"Normas para ceste de transferência de pessoal" states that from 1st July, 2018, all personnel transfer baskets must have seats.

The FROG-6 is a six man carrier that offers extensive protection to personnel during transfer by crane. Since 2014 the FROG-6 has been officially homologated by the Navy for use in Brazil. This followed the Navy witnessing the FROG-6 undergoing immersion, load, vertical and lateral impact tests, amongst other testing criteria. It is currently the only personnel transfer carrier or basket on the market that complies with all of the updated changes to NORMAM05/DPC.
It is stated in the Annex 4-A that offshore personnel devices should float, self-right, be made with a stainless steel frame and have the manufacturer or an accredited representative complete servicing every 12 months.
