Reflex Marine Gains LEEA Development Member Status

Reflex Marine is continuing to strive towards achieving excellence in safety by being awarded with the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) Development Member status.

LEAA is the leading authoritative representative body for the lifting industry across the globe. With the industry increasingly looking at improving safety practices, LEAA is a powerful voice for the lifting industry and is actively involved in the development of national and international standards and regulations.

Reflex Marine passed the rigorous technical audit with flying colours and now will be able to benefit from access to LEAA’s high quality training and qualifications, independent auditing and accreditations as well as expert technical advice and representation.

The company’s clients work in the most demanding conditions and have a duty of care to transfer their personnel safely, to and from, their offshore work places.  At times they face difficult operational scenarios and may have to respond to emergency situations.

This range was designed and built with the client in mind and has been developed with over 20 years of experience, over 800 transfer devices operating globally, and with an estimated 1 million safe transfers performed using our capsules every year.

This accreditation is particularly timely with the recent release of Reflex Marine’s brand new product range: the FROG-XT which was designed to address all the main risks involved in marine personnel transfer.

Philip Strong, CEO, said: “Crew transfer operations have evolved over the years and the FROG-XT is the product of many years of research and experience of working with operators throughout the world.

“Reflex Marine has set new standards and expectations for the industry, changing the perspective of crew transfer from being seen as inherently high-risk, to being accepted as a manageable activity that can be performed safely and cost effectively to ensure continuity in offshore operations, either in day-to-day transfers or as a contingency arrangement.

“Our positive results relate to our roots in innovating and introducing products that were far ahead of methods being used at the time, both in terms of technology and accepted practices. This culture of innovation and drive to raise standards further continues with our design team who have developed the FROG-XT.”

Reflex Marine is looking to gain full membership of LEAA within the next two years as well as to further expand the reach of the LEAA accreditation to that of its training courses.
