The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) have unveiled the finalists for the Offshore Achievement Awards and Reflex Marine are delighted to announce that they and have been shortlisted for the Safety Innovations Award, sponsored by Petrofac.
The awards celebrate the exceptional talent and success of organisations in the energy sector who are working hard to ensure it thrives on a global scale. Reflex Marine has beaten off some very tough competition to reach the final and this year's entries have been described as being of an exceptional standard.
The awards evening will take place on Thursday the 21st March at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. The awards will be hosted by Scottish comedian, Kevin Bridges and are sponsored by Taqa Bratani.
The Safety Innovations Award recognises excellence in innovative technology and products that have been developed in the UK and which contribute to offshore safety. Reflex Marine is a good fit for this category as its transfer devices have revolutionised the way that crews are transferred offshore in many locations around the world.
Not only does Reflex Marine supply the industry with high quality equipment but sees its role as a facilitator for enhancing safety and operational knowledge for all parties involved in crew transfers. These efforts include the provision of training and developing industry guidelines in the form of the 10 Golden Rules of Crane Transfer Safety which have recently been considered by Step Change in Safety UK in its Marine Transfer Group.
