Reflex Marine Train Crew For Canadian Operation

The Helix crew undertake the practical element of training on the FROG-6

Reflex Marine held the first of two training events this week for Helix at the Falck Nutec Training Centre. Senior Trainer, James Cryan trained sixteen personnel on How to Carry Out Safe Personnel Transfer by Crane, with a focus on the use of Reflex Marine's device, the FROG-6.

The familiarisation training was required as the crew are due to travel to Canada for a job where they will be using a FROG for crane transfer. For most of the attendees, this was their first experience of a crane transfer device. The aim of the training was to familiarise attendees in how to carry out safe personnel transfer and included a discussion around the 10 Golden Rules of marine personnel transfer as well as practical elements such as learning how to convert the FROG into MedEvac mode should a causality need to be evacuated.
