ADIPEC 2016: supporting the middle east in offshore crew transfer

The growth in offshore activity and the increasing number of vessels in the Middle East have encouraged companies in the region to review their crew transfer options and make a decisive move towards marine transfer.

A number of options for transferring personnel from vessel to platform exist, and our products have become established as part of operational, logistics and risk assessment plans for most companies in the offshore sectors.

The increasing focus on the region’s offshore and marine activity is evidenced by its prominence at ADIPEC, the largest regional conference of its kind, which is running at Abu Dhabi’s ADNEC centre until 11 November.

ADIPEC is an excellent forum for the industry to come together to discuss offshore operations and crew access. It is an important event for us.

We’re looking forward to visiting the offshore, marine and heavy equipment zone with six sophisticated vessels and a purpose-built waterside theatre. We’ll be attending the conference and panel sessions where we look forward to insightful debate about offshore and marine development and safety.

The timing for this year’s ADIPEC couldn’t be better, coming just three weeks before OPEC’s 30 November meeting, where the organisation will provide details on its previously announced production capping proposals. ADIPEC provides the industry with an opportunity to debate and demonstrate the resilience of the offshore sector and its global outlook ahead of the OPEC gathering.

The expansion of the Middle East’s offshore oil and gas industry mirrors the growth in other offshore sectors in the region, and we’re working with all these sectors and legislative bodies as they further consider the importance of transferring personnel safely.

We’ve been present in the Middle East for 15 years, and we are working with both national and international oil companies in every country in the Arabian Gulf, including Oman.

We’ve made significant advances in supporting the region’s marine industry, including tanker companies, shipyards, and ports.

Our innovative approach, responsiveness and flexibility allow us to take a comprehensive approach to supporting our clients and the market as a whole. An example of this approach has been the recent launch of our WAVE-4 carrier which, together with our industry-leading FROG-XT range provides protection from the four major risks of personnel transfer: vertical impact, lateral impact, falling and immersion.

If you’re ADIPEC we’d welcome the opportunity to discuss your personnel transfer requirements. Contact Sandra Antonovic (sandra.antonovic@reflexmarine.com), our COO based in Abu Dhabi, to arrange a meeting.
